Job summary

Stellar Virtual, based in Indiana, is seeking a Special Programs Interventionist to deliver MTSS-aligned reading and math interventions for grades K-8 in a remote setting. The role requires collaboration with teachers, admin, and families to accelerate student growth using data-driven strategies.

Ideal candidates hold Indiana teaching licensure, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and experience in virtual instruction with strong communication skills. Residency in Indiana is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience in reading, mathematics, or elementary education.
• Experience in a virtual or online teaching environment.
• Knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards for ELA/Math K-8.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, small-group and individualized reading and mathematics intervention aligned with student needs and grade-level standards.
• Provide targeted reteach instruction using evidence-based intervention strategies to support student academic growth.
• Differentiate instruction to address varying skill levels and learning needs.
• Utilize virtual learning platforms and instructional technology to engage students in a remote learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students while creating an encouraging and supportive learning environment.
• Analyze assessment, benchmark, and progress monitoring data to identify students requiring intervention and adjust instructional plans accordingly.
• Monitor student growth through ongoing formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of intervention services, student progress, and instructional adjustments.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of intervention strategies and recommend modifications to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, admins to align intervention with core instruction.
• Participate in MTSS meetings and contribute data for decision-making.
• Communicate progress with teachers, families, and leadership as appropriate.
• Support school-wide intervention initiatives and best practices.
