Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Manager, Manufacturing Science & Technology to support development and commercialization of rAAV-based gene therapies. You will oversee tech transfer from process development to GMP manufacturing, including validation, batch review, deviation management, and supply chain risk mitigation.

The role requires hands-on GMP experience with upstream suspension cell culture (HEK293), strong regulatory knowledge for gene therapy, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biotech, chemical, or pharmaceutical engineering.
• 5+ years experience in biotech/pharma manufacturing.
• Hands-on GMP manufacturing experience with upstream suspension cell culture.
• Knowledge of gene therapy regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently with travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end technology transfer from process development to GMP manufacturing, including validation, batch review, monitoring, deviations, change control, and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Act as a technical interface between Process Development, CMC, and manufacturing teams.
