Job summary

Forge Biologics is seeking a Technician I, GMP Manufacturing – Upstream, to play a critical role in producing AAV-based gene therapies. The position involves cell culture expansion, transfection, harvest steps, and ensuring compliance with cGMP.

You will collaborate with QA/QC and participate in process improvements. The role requires a scientific degree or equivalent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a scientific field, or relevant industry certifications.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Execute upstream manufacturing operations per SOPs and batch records.
• Operate bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration systems and related equipment.
• Perform media and buffer prep and aseptic transfer of materials.
• Monitor process parameters and report deviations to supervisor.
