Job summary

Hire With Near and its US-based client portfolio seeks an Accountant to be the primary resource for day-to-day accounting, close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple engagements. You will work closely with clients and internal staff to deliver accurate information.

This remote contractor role offers a full-time schedule aligned to US business hours, exposure to diverse industries, strong GAAP fundamentals, and opportunities to optimize cash flow and performance for growing

Qualifications

• Experience across the accounting cycle including close and reconciliations.
• Proficient in GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience preparing financial statements and recording journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and GL entries.
• Perform reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Complete month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting.
• Review data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Communicate with clients regarding transactions and results.
• Maintain organized records and client-specific procedures.
