Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to cover the West region (CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ, WY) with remote work. The role focuses on alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, engaging with KOLs, translating data, and supporting medical affairs initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced scientific degree (PharmD/MD/PhD), 2+ years in clinical or pharma settings, and strong communication skills to interact with academic experts and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must reside within the West territory near a major airport
• Advanced degree in a scientific field (PharmD/MD/PhD or related)
• Minimum of two years in clinical practice, academia, or pharma
• Strong knowledge of Grifols’ philosophy and policies
• Excellent interpersonal, strategic, and communication skills
• Ability to discuss highly technical information with academic experts
• Valid driver’s license and Grifols driver criteria met
• Willingness to travel regularly

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders through scientific exchange
• Engage in one-on-one scientific exchanges with therapeutic area experts
• Disseminate new scientific data to inform physicians about evidence
• Maintain knowledge of relevant literature, guidelines, and standards of care
• Serve as a scientific resource to leading academic physicians and centers
• Support investigators in developing investigator-initiated research
• Coordinate cross-functional activities for conferences and advisory boards
• Conduct formal scientific presentations for healthcare audiences
• Represent Grifols Medical Affairs and communicate priorities and R&D activities
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards
