Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to work remotely across the West region (CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ, WY). You will build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and translate scientific data to clinicians.

The role requires an advanced science degree and 2+ years in clinical practice, academia, or pharma, with excellent communication and travel readiness to engage with experts and support medical congresses and advisory boards.

Qualifications

• Residency within West territory including CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ and WY.
• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or advanced/master’s nursing).
• Minimum two years of related experience in clinical practice, academia, or pharma.
• Excellent interpersonal, strategic, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific information to academics.
• Ability to discuss highly technical information with leading experts.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn MSL systems.
• Self-directed, able to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to manage a demanding travel schedule and priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and meeting Grifols’ driver criteria.
• Equivalency in education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders through scientific exchange.
• Engage in one-on-one scientific exchanges with therapeutic area experts to identify clinical insights.
• Disseminate new scientific data to inform physicians about evidence for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant literature, guidelines, and standards of care in the territory.
• Serve as a scientific resource to leading academic physicians and researchers and to centers of excellence.
• Support investigators in developing investigator-initiated research protocols.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration by supporting medical congresses, advisory boards, and clinical trial sites.
• Conduct formal scientific presentations for appropriate healthcare audiences.
• Represent Grifols Medical Affairs and communicate scientific priorities and drug development activities.
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements with high ethics.
