Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies while ensuring patient safety. The role involves on-site and remote work, communicating with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, and training new technologists and assistants.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images on multiple MR systems, and supporting mobile unit operations.

Qualifications

• Pre-screen patients for contraindications and ensure patient safety.
• ARRT MR/ARMRIT or equivalent credential as allowed.
• State license and CPR certification where required.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations; ability to work on mobile units may be required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images on multiple MRI systems.
• Operate MR equipment and monitor patient safety during scans.
• Train and orient new technologists, coordinators, and assistants.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and staff.
• Support on-site and remote operations as needed.
