Qualifications

• Education: Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field required.
• PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics required.
• Board Certification by ABR or American Board of Radiology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Acts as Radiation Safety Officer liaison with regulatory bodies and committees.
• Oversees radiation safety policies, procedures and compliance across the system.
• Coordinates testing, shielding, dosimetry, and equipment performance evaluations.
