Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Medical Physicist to implement and maintain advanced imaging technologies across a large health system. You will lead CT and MRI protocol development, build vendor partnerships, and advise imaging leadership on equipment and purchases while maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience post graduate training preferred.
• Four (4) years of related experience preferred.
• Member of the American Association of Physicist in Medicine or other equivalent professional society.
• Eligible to be the principal Radiation Safety Officer for RAM licenses and CORs as defined by Texas regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Acts as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray Registrations and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies to minimize exposure.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations for radiology and imaging systems.
• Collaborates with health physicists on radiation incidents and corrective actions.
• Coordinates radiation safety committees and accreditation activities.
