Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Digital Solution Consultant to support the MPC/APC sales process through customer discovery, technical qualification, Benefits Studies, and solution scoping. This remote role requires travel to customer sites up to 40% of the time and reports to the MPC Sales Manager.

You will translate process findings into value propositions, lead Benefits Studies, review PFDs and P&IDs, and develop proposals with engineering estimates and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of MPC/APC, process optimization, PFDs, P&IDs, and control strategies.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional pre-sales pursuits in global organizations.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics, including AI, machine learning, or neural networks.

Responsibilities

• Own customer engagement, technical discovery, opportunity qualification, and coordination of pre-sales activities for MPC/APC opportunities.
• Lead technical qualification by evaluating application fit, current control capabilities, and data availability.
• Support Sales in commercially qualifying opportunities using MEDPICC, BANT, or similar framework.
• Translate assessment findings into a recommended solution scope, BOM, and estimates.
• Provide a documented handoff of scope and assessment findings; collaboration with delivery.
