Qualifications

• 5+ years mortgage underwriting experience with 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• HUD Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA credit certifications.
• Experience with Conventional, Government, Agency, and Jumbo loan guidelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mortgage Underwriters to achieve performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee daily inventory distribution and prioritization for timely loan processing.
• Review and approve underwriting decisions exceeding team authority levels; monitor quality metrics.
• Lead responses to audit findings and coordinate with Risk, Compliance, and QA teams.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans for audit findings and follow-up requirements.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
