Confidential Client in the mortgage brokerage space is seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter for a full-time remote role. You will own files from intake through underwriting, approvals, and hand-off to Fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely closings.

Ideal candidates possess a Mortgage Agent Level 1 license (FSRA-verified), strong underwriting experience, and proficiency with Velocity. Excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Mortgage Agent Level 1 license (FSRA verification).
• Experience underwriting mortgages and managing files independently.
• Proficiency with Velocity software.

Responsibilities

• Review introduction-call notes and own assigned mortgage files.
• Underwrite pre-approvals and live mortgage deals.
• Review borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine lender options based on borrower circumstances.
• Identify missing documentation and follow up proactively.
• Submit files to lenders and track approvals.
