Quorum Federal Credit Union is seeking a Correspondent Mortgage Underwriter to review and underwrite first and second mortgages within allocated authority. This position is 100% remote within the US.

You will validate income, assets, credit and collateral, review title and appraisal reports, and collaborate with secondary market and closing teams. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• 4+ years of mortgage experience at a credit union, bank or financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with Encompass within the last 12 months.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Review and underwrite loan packages for compliance with FNMA and internal guidelines.
• Validate income, assets, credit and collateral documentation to determine loan eligibility.
• Evaluate full closed loan packages for completeness and consistency, including final 1003, title policy, CD, and collateral documents.
• Review title and appraisal reports for acceptability and compliance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with secondary market, closing, and post-purchase teams to ensure smooth loan flow.
