Job summary

First American is seeking a Property Preservation Specialist to maintain and secure real estate assets, especially vacant or distressed properties. You will work with vendors and internal teams to ensure preservation aligns with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include inspections, securing properties, coordinating bids, and maintaining accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and excellent communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in property preservation, asset management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for property preservation.
• Experience with property management software (MSP, LoanSphere, Yardi, FHA Connection).
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to coach and collaborate with teams.
• Organizational skills; detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property inspections and preserve vacant properties per guidelines.
• Secure and maintain properties; address code violations and HOA requirements.
• Manage vendors/contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective work.
• Maintain compliance with investor/insurer guidelines and regulatory changes.
• Document inspections, preservation activities, and reporting in systems.
