Job summary

Bank N.A. in California is seeking a credit professional to provide superior customer service and portfolio management in lending services for existing and potential clients.

You will support a team of specialists and relationship managers with lending expertise, underwriting, funding, and portfolio monitoring. The role involves preparing proposals, client meetings, and ensuring timely processing of transactions, while maintaining compliance and risk controls within Bank policy.

Qualifications

• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit and non-credit products and services.
• Working knowledge of lending processes and supporting policies.
• Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the credit portfolio requirements and qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing new business proposals or presentations to clients/prospects.
• Assists in preparing for client meetings and account opening documentation.
• Identifies workflow process alternatives to improve efficiency and service levels.
• Performs client sales & service support activities to meet client needs and maintain service standards.
• Determines client needs and ensures timely and accurate completion of transaction processing.
• Provides after sales support and handles exceptions in accordance with Bank policy.
• Takes ownership of client inquiries/concerns/complaints and resolves timely.
• Maintains knowledge of private banking services and lending procedures.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
• Analyzes data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Executes set-up, maintenance, and advancement of lending products and related account administration.
• Verifies loan drawdowns within credit terms and required documentation.
• Reviews overdrafts and monitoring reports timely.
• Sets up margin/covenant tests within established timeframes.
