Job summary

Homeward Mortgage is seeking a Manager of Mortgage Sales to lead a small, high-producing team of Loan Officers and help us continue delivering a differentiated mortgage experience for Homeward’s buyers and agents.

Our leaders set clear expectations, coach performance, and work hands-on to overcome complex scenarios, ensuring every opportunity is pursued with urgency and professionalism. This role operates in a remote-first environment and not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential mortgage experience.
• 2+ years of leading Loan Officers in a high-production sales environment.
• Deep knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, investor, and NonQM guidelines.
• Proven experience leading a team to meet or exceed sales and conversion goals.
• Customer- and agent-first mindset with strong communication, urgency, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of high-producing Loan Officers, creating structure and support for high volume.
• Monitor team and individual KPIs and SLAs, identify gaps, translate data into coaching and action plans.
• Foster a culture where every viable opportunity matters and drive for every customer and deal.
• Develop expertise in Homeward lending guidelines to handle complex scenarios and escalation.
• Coach on sales conversations, follow-up strategy, and effective pipeline prioritization.
• Build agent relationships and be a trusted financing partner to Homeward’s agent network.
• Partner with Mortgage leadership and Operations to improve products and processes.
