Job summary

Homeward Mortgage is hiring a Manager of Mortgage Sales to lead a small, high-producing team of Loan Officers and help us continue building a differentiated mortgage experience for Homeward's buyers and agents. In this hands-on leadership role, you will coach, set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and partner with Operations to ensure deals close smoothly while upholding compliance and customer focus.

The position offers a base salary with substantial upside and a remote-first, Austin-based work

Qualifications

5+ years of residential mortgage experience, including purchase loans.
2+ years in a leadership role coaching Loan Officers.
Expert knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, investor, and NonQM guidelines.
Proven track record meeting sales and conversion goals.
Strong communication, urgency, and follow-through with customers and agents.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a small team of high-producing Loan Officers to manage high-volume production.
Monitor KPIs/SLAs and translate data into coaching action plans.
Coach Loan Officers on sales conversations, objections, and follow-ups.
Build relationships with real estate agents and partner teams.
Escalate issues to protect relationships and customer experience.
Partner with Mortgage leadership to develop Homeward mortgage products.
