Newtown Savings Bank is seeking an organized, self‑motivated Mortgage Processor II to join our Loan Origination Department in Newtown, CT. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality loan processing, reviewing files for completeness and compliance with underwriting standards, and coordinating with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years mortgage lending experience preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Knowledge of underwriting processes and loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process residential mortgage loans across programs per bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and closers to meet deadlines.
• Review files for completeness and underwriting compliance prior to submission.
• Submit files through underwriting systems (DU, LP).
• Maintain data integrity in loan origination systems and resolve issues promptly.
