Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in California is seeking a Home Loan Processor to manage mortgage transactions, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure files are processed accurately and compliantly.

Responsibilities include ordering title reports, reviewing documentation, calculating income and assets, and maintaining LOS and DU alignment. Knowledge of RESPA, TILA, TRID, HMDA and investor guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mortgage lending experience
• Processing experience preferred
• HS Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate information with Members, Home Loan Advisors and Vendors for loan processing.
• Order title reports, flood certificates and appraisal orders; review documentation for accuracy and identify required research.
• Maintain understanding of state and federal laws related to compliance (BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID, AML).
• Review and calculate income, tax returns, and assets; update LOS accordingly.
• Read and interpret Desktop Underwriter findings; re-run DU with updated figures before final underwriting submission.
• Review credit documentation for investor and Golden 1 policies.
• Prepare and process correspondence and document exchange updating LOS.
• Manage pipeline to meet service levels, efficiency, and loan quality.
• Complete HMDA information and address quality control issues.
• Acquire knowledge of FNMA and Golden 1 equity products and investor guidelines.
