Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned metropolitan territory. You will take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting, and coordinate with processing and underwriting for approval.

The role requires 50% field-based activity and at least two hours of driving per week; the role is posted as remote but on-site work is required three days a week for near-location candidates.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Three or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.
• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z with ongoing compliance.
• Must be able to meet the requirement of performing duties outside of regular place of business.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Ensure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured timely.
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
• Drive 2+ hours per week.
