Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and coordinate processing and closing activities while engaging in sales activities away from bank locations.

The role requires spending at least 50% of time out in the field and about 2 hours of driving weekly. The position is posted as remote; however, candidates near any U.S.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration and compliance with SAFÉ Act and Regulation Z.
• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Takes applications and conducts preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Coordinates documents for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Travel to meet clients; 50% of time away from locations; 2+ hours of driving per week.
