Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned metropolitan territory. The role involves taking applications, performing preliminary underwriting, and submitting files for processing and underwriting for approval.

The position requires 2+ years in mortgage, sales or real estate, a valid NMLS registration, and the ability to work away from bank locations at least 50% of the time. Remote posting with on-site 3 days weekly for nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Requires NMLS registration and compliance with SAFE Act and Reg Z.
• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Two+ years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Takes applications and conducts preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Spends at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations for sales and loan origination.
