Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Mortgage Banker (Outside-Ex) in Florida to originate and close mortgage loans. You will build relationships with realtors, builders, and clients, counsel on suitable products, and coordinate with processors to ensure timely closings.

The role requires NMLS compliance, extensive client interaction, and regular meetings with branch managers. A strong track record in mortgage production and service is preferred, with remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mortgage experience.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with mortgage origination applications and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Originate and close mortgage loans and meet production goals.
• Develop referral sources with borrowers, brokers and builders.
• Maintain NMLS license and comply with SAFÉ Act requirements.
• Counsel customers on products that fit their financial needs.
• Attend closings and coordinate with processors to keep files moving.
