Job summary

Homeward is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to be the face of Homeward Mortgage, converting leads and managing a pipeline of homebuyers and agents while delivering a superior mortgage experience. You will coordinate with processors, underwriters and closers to keep transactions on track.

This remote-first role requires 6+ years of experience with FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA and Jumbo loans, plus strong knowledge of DU and purchase mortgages. NMLS licensing in eligible states is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience originating FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and Non-Conforming (Jumbo) mortgages.
• Expert knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and purchase mortgages.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong phone sales skills.
• Strong time-management and project management skills.
• Sales mentality and drive to grow your business and relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high production environment.
• The initiative to build something new.
• NMLS licensed in one or more eligible states.
