Job summary

Homeward is seeking a Loan Officer to be the face of Homeward Mortgage, owning the agent and customer experience and ensuring all parties stay confident and informed about the transaction. You will be supported by processors, underwriters and closers while partnering with our growth team.

The role requires 6+ years of mortgage origination experience, expert knowledge of DU, strong communication and sales skills, and an active NMLS license in eligible states.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience originating FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and Non-Conforming (Jumbo) mortgages
• Expert knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and purchase mortgages
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong sales and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-production environment

Responsibilities

• Convert leads and grow share of wallet with agent partners and customers
• Manage a pipeline of homebuyers and agents with top service
• Provide world-class mortgage experience with excellent service
• Coordinate with transaction team to keep all parties updated
• Originate agency conforming, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans
• Quote rates and structure loans
• Collaborate to solve underwriting scenarios
