Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Mongolian Interpreter to work remotely from home in the United States. This independent contractor role focuses on interpreting spoken Mongolian to English (and vice versa) across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, and more.

You will translate verbally and maintain confidentiality in a quiet home-office setting. Responsibilities include timely interpretation, accurate conveyance of meaning, clear bilingual delivery, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mongolian and English with cultural competency.
• Must be able to adapt to different industries and terminology.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions.
• Remain calm during sessions, especially in emergency situations such as 911 calls.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations while respecting LEP privacy.
• Understand protocol for various industries including Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
