Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators responsible for daily operation, engineering, and continuous improvement of Modern Workplace services.

You will guide technical design, troubleshooting, and escalation across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity, automation, and related technologies, reporting to the Director of Modern Workplace Engineering. This remote role supports multiple approved states.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in Modern Workplace technologies or related field.
• Three or more years of formal people-management or team-leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience acceptable.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and key Modern Workplace disciplines.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and guiding engineers to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Modern Workplace engineers and administrators.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, and automation.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex incidents and architectural decisions.
• Participate in technical discovery, solution design, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Review designs, scripts, configurations, and operational procedures for quality and security.
• Coordinate delivery across Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows, macOS, MECM, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.
