Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a leading AAA insurer, is seeking a Model Risk Advisor for a remote role. You will promote governance, maintain model inventories, assess risks, and support validations across the enterprise.

This role partners with risk, audits, and suppliers to ensure compliance with AI standards, ethics, and regulatory expectations, including EU AI Act and NIST frameworks. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential to drive improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in model risk management, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices across the enterprise.
• Maintain inventory of AI/ML/GenAI models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, business impact, and usage.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance; raise issues.
• Support model validation and testing activities with defined scope and findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities, audits, and reviews.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance, model risk, and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with risk, auditors, and suppliers to maintain governance documentation.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
• Identify opportunities to automate governance processes and tools.
• Evaluate governance tools and resolve issues when needed.
