CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Machine Learning Researcher - Narratologist to join our R&D team in North America. The role focuses on computational narratology, exploring techniques to understand narrative text while avoiding generation.

The position offers hybrid/in-office or full remote work with a background in NLP and ML, emphasizing Python and C++ skills and experience with cloud training/serving. The application window closes March 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Sophisticated experimental NLP background in academic or industrial research.
• 5+ years experience programming.
• Fluent in Python and C++ (or Unreal C++).

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ML systems for complex narrative analysis.
• Quantitatively improve key NLP models, designing and/or integrating new models.
• Effectively leverage cloud infrastructure for training and serving.
• Keep a finger on the pulse of SOTA for key topics.
• Present results internally and possibly at external conferences.
• Optimize ML systems for cost, latency, and quality.
• Facilitate the deployment of results in demos.
