Job summary

Global Green Growth Institute seeks an experienced individual consultant to develop Mitigation Activity Ideas (MAINs) for the Carbon Transaction Facility. Qualifications

• Advanced degree in environmental science or related field required.
• 10+ years in climate change mitigation and project development.
• Experience preparing MAINs, MADDs, PDDs or similar documents.
• Strong technical writing and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Article 6 processes and safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Review MAINs against criteria and identify information gaps.
• Coordinate with proponents to strengthen mitigation activity and baselines.
• Assess alignment with host country NDC and Article 6 requirements.
• Collect and organize legal, technical, and financial documentation.
• Coordinate with GGGI country teams and stakeholders for reviews.
• Consolidate content and supporting evidence for QC and final approval.
• Prepare concise MAIN summaries to support final approvals.
• Deliver outputs and address issues within contract timelines.
