Job summary

BGE Inc. is seeking an experienced AC Mitigation Modeler to lead AC interference analysis, mitigation design, and implementation for pipeline, utility, and energy projects.

The role requires expertise in cathodic protection, pipeline integrity, and AC interference, with strong modeling and field validation capabilities. You will mentor engineers, support clients, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• PE license or AMPP/NACE CP-4 certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in AC mitigation, cathodic protection, corrosion engineering, or pipeline integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and validate AC interference models using SES CDEGS and/or Elsyca IRIS.
• Perform electromagnetic induction studies for pipelines, utility corridors, transmission lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
• Design AC mitigation, grounding, decoupling, gradient control, and related protection systems.
• Perform calculations and evaluations to support safe, effective mitigation designs.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Defend analyses, assumptions, methodologies, and recommendations with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
