Qualifications

• 8+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Middle Market underwriting and sales organization for the region, establishing business priorities, monitoring performance, and ensuring execution of regional new business, renewal, pricing, and profitability objectives.
• Leads underwriting managers and teams to achieve productivity, service, and portfolio results with sound underwriting discipline.
• Builds a culture of collaboration across field, home office, and virtual teams with clear accountability.
• Ensures adherence to guidelines, policies, regulatory requirements, and QA standards.
• Leads and develops leaders, strengthening underwriting expertise and large account management.
• Uses portfolio analytics and market intelligence to identify trends and prioritize opportunities.
• Manages underwriting authority based on capability, experience, and performance.
• Supports new business and renewal opportunities through agency and broker engagement and negotiation of terms.
