Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an Associate Territory Manager for the Middle Market Business Development team. You will be the primary relationship manager for middle market new and renewal business within a defined Southern California territory, driving profit and growth through agency engagement and effective plans.

This remote role requires three years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience with underwriting authority, plus strong knowledge of Manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with underwriting authority.
• Passion for driving profitable growth through agency engagement.
• Three years Commercial Lines underwriting experience required; sales experience preferred.
• Underwriting experience with accounts larger than 100k in DWP (preferred).
• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Wholesale/Distribution, Real Estate, Retail, or Food Service & Accommodation (preferred).
• Insurance designations or coursework (CPCU, CIC, AU) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites new business, renewals and endorsements within authority.
• Analyzes risk acceptability and prepares reports.
• Manages agency relationships and develops sales plans.
• Drives production, profitability and service objectives.
• Plans agency visits to develop accounts and enhance relationships.
• Collaborates with internal partners to support Nationwide presence.
