Job summary

Wahve LLC is seeking seasoned Commercial Lines underwriters to work from home for US carrier, MGA, or wholesale broker clients, focusing on the New England territory. Assignments span General Liability, Professional Liability, Property, and more.

Ideal candidates bring 25 years of full-time Commercial Lines P&C experience with a track record in risk selection, pricing decisions, and portfolio management, and are comfortable handling remote, long-term engagements with company benefits.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty.
• At least 10 of the most recent years in Commercial Lines P&C.
• Strong underwriting judgment and risk evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate and thorough risk selection with proper classification of insureds.
• Make critical underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage alternatives, and pricing.
• Manage a portfolio of new and/or renewal business with focus on book management.
• Develop and maintain superior relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
• Achieve acceptable underwriting profit levels within assigned book of business.
