The position is remote for US-based candidates, offering $145,000–$181,050 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/controls/computer engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years in power-distribution controls, industrial automation, or microgrids.
• Knowledge of electric power systems and microgrid operations.
• Experience programming automation controllers using ladder logic or structured text.
• Knowledge of Modbus and IEC 61850 protocols.
• Field experience with electrical distribution systems and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication of technical topics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microgrid control solutions integrating multiple energy sources.
• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software for automation controllers and SCADA systems.
• Create control philosophies and operational sequences for microgrid systems.
• Program controls using ladder logic and function block diagrams.
• Implement operating modes such as grid-connected operation and load shedding.
• Review specifications and translate requirements into control designs.
• Prepare and execute testing and commissioning procedures.
