Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Senior Microgrid Controls Engineer to develop innovative microgrid control solutions to enhance energy efficiency and promote sustainability. This role involves significant collaboration with multiple teams and requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will understand Electric Power Systems and Microgrid operations, and possess strong communication skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in power distribution controls applications.
• PE License preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and commission Microgrid Control solutions.
• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for Automation Controllers.
• Collaborate with other Eaton business groups to ensure solutions meet design intent.

Skills

Understanding of Electric Power Systems

Understanding of Microgrid operations

Understanding of DERs (PV, BESS, and Generators)

Ability to clearly communicate technical topics

Field experience working on electrical distribution systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
