Job summary
The L.S. Starrett Company is seeking a Metrology Systems Technical Support Specialist to join Starrett Metrology Systems Division. This remote role supports customers and distribution partners, troubleshooting metrology hardware, software, calibration, connectivity, and applications from an approved U.S.
location in the Eastern Time Zone. You will work with Sales, Field Service, Applications, and Engineering to deliver a strong customer experience, with occasional travel to customer or company
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in metrology, engineering tech, electronics, CS, manufacturing
- Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, applications, or precision measurement
- Willingness to travel as required
- Residence in an approved U.S. remote-work location in the Eastern Time Zone
Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve customer and Sales support cases for metrology systems
- Provide phone, email, remote, and occasional on-site support
- Own cases through resolution with documented evidence
- Perform advanced remote troubleshooting and diagnose configurations
- Collaborate with Field Service, Applications, Engineering and Sales
- Develop documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles
- Identify recurring issues and assist with corrective actions and safety compliance
