Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years sales experience in metals service center or industrial sales.
• Strong MS Office skills; SAP and Salesforce.com a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers at all levels, including purchasing decision makers.
• Communicate industry and economic trends and Ryerson’s capabilities to customers.
• Develop quotations and contracts with service centers and regional sales to drive profitable sales.
• Provide market intelligence to shape sales strategies and pricing decisions.
• Increase revenue by expanding product lines and converting general line sales to fabrication sales.
• Coordinate with management and supplier reps to maintain key relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
