Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation analysis and enrollment/billing issue resolution. This remote role supports Pacific/Mountain/Central time zones between 7am and 5pm PT and aims to manage financial risk and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include analyzing accounts receivable, updating eligibility data, and producing written correspondence on billing matters.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Two years accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance (Required).
• One year prior experience as Membership Analyst I or reconciliation experience (Required).
• Health or insurance industry experience (Preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient fund issues.
• Maintain accurate notes and handle enrollment changes as needed.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on membership and billing processes.
