Job summary

MCD Global Health is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Associate to support the PALU framework across international programs. The role focuses on building reliable, replicable code to automate data workflows, turn raw field data into usable outputs, and deliver working tools quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred for advanced analytics.
• 1–3 years in MEL, data analysis, or related global health roles.
• Proficient in writing reproducible scripts in R and/or Python.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and automated reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and transform program data using R and/or Python to generate actionable insights for decision-making.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, dashboards, and automated reporting with the DHTIS Lead.
• Design, build, test, and maintain digital data collection tools (ODK/XLSForm; DHIS2 forms).
• Monitor data quality, validate data, and ensure compliance with MEL standards and donor requirements.
• Support field teams with technical assistance, training, and guidance materials to strengthen data use.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MEL priorities into programs and business development.
• Contribute to proposal development, technical reports, presentations, and organizational learning.
• Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, automation, and digital systems.
