• Enters pending requests in the EMR and forwards for signature.
• When E-prescribing is unavailable, transmits prescription information to pharmacies by phone, fax, or paper.
• Serves as a resource on prescription access, generics, and insurance procedures.
• Completes prior authorization paperwork for sign-off by the care team.
• Monitors prior authorization status and updates relevant parties.
