Job summary

Palmetto GBA, LLC is seeking a field- or education-focused professional to educate medical providers on Medicare coverage and documentation. The role involves educational visits or conference calls with providers who over-utilize services and those with high denial or error rates.

Responsibilities include creating education materials, coordinating training sessions, and documenting communications while traveling up to 3–5 days per week and residing in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nursing (LPN) or licensed vocational nursing (LVN) graduate.
• Registered nursing (RN) license eligible/licensed.
• Experience with medical terminology and disease processes.
• Strong word processing and spreadsheet skills; good grammar and math.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Educates providers on Medicare coverage, utilization, and medical review via advisories, reports, letters, and calls.
• Documents all provider contacts in the provider tracking system.
• Conducts formal calls or in-person educational visits for high-utilization providers.
• Leads workshops for provider staff on coverage and documentation.
• Prepares regulatory-based provider education materials.
