Job summary

Novitas Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Provider Audit and Reimbursement Auditor to analyze cost reports and PS&R data to determine accurate tentative settlements of bad debt payments and other pass-through costs.

The role includes desk reviews and collaboration with senior staff on hospital audits. Applicants should have a background in auditing or finance, strong communication skills, and experience with Medicare policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in auditing, accounting, analytics, or finance.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Analyze cost reports and PS&R data to determine accurate tentative settlements of bad debt payments and other pass-through costs.
• Perform limited and full desk reviews of cost reports for SNFs, ESRDs, FQHCs/RHCs and related facilities.
• Coordinate with senior staff in performing hospital audits and support post-audit activities.
• Assist management with administrative functions and participate in special projects (data, STAR updates, CET).
• Attend conferences and advise providers on Medicare policy questions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
