Job summary

Novitas Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Provider Audit and Reimbursement Senior Auditor to perform complex Medicare cost report reviews and audits for diverse provider types. You'll mentor Auditors and shape CMS-compliant processes.

The role requires deep CMS knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to lead field audits while meeting regulatory deadlines. Remote work is available for approved states with potential in-office options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in auditing, accounting, analytics, finance or related field.
• 2 years Medicare cost report auditing experience or related CMS work.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, CMS cost reports and the step-down method.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior auditors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform cost report desk reviews and field audits for hospitals and providers.
• Compute rate reviews and cost-to-charge ratios with accuracy.
• Supervise and coach audit staff; ensure adherence to CMS standards and GAS.
• Coordinate audit schedules and CMS metric deadlines; manage special CMS projects.
• Provide guidance on Medicare policy questions and provider relations.
