Job summary

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with medical leadership and analytics teams in a remote US setting.

The candidate will research literature, codes, and regulations, update policy lists, and propose coverage recommendations aligned with clinical best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of research experience in medical technology and/or healthcare services.
• 2–3 years of health plan, managed care, or health insurance industry experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with medical policy development, utilization management, or health technology assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the agenda for the Medical Technology Assessment Committee (with Medical Directors and Manager, Research and Policy Development).
• Research and summarize medical literature, benchmarking, coding, regulations, and medical economics analysis for new medical technologies and for products/services designated as Experimental/Investigational.
• Update and maintain the list of services designated as Experimental/Investigational for each line of business.
• Make recommendations on coverage status based on research synthesis.
• Prepare agenda for the Prior Authorization Committee (with chair, co-chair, and analytics team).
• Research relevant coding, benchmarking, and regulations for the committees.
• Make recommendations to the committee on utilization management strategies, informed by value factor analysis.
