Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a remote Customer Service Operations Representative to handle inbound calls, place orders for medical supplies, and resolve issues in a high-volume environment. You will liaison with customers, research accounts, and ensure accurate order processing and timely resolutions.

The role requires 2–4 years in a call center and preferably remote work experience, with strong MS Office and order systems skills. Training is provided; weekend hours may be involved.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in high volume call center preferred.
• Previous remote/work-from-home experience preferred.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Prior experience with order placement systems/tools preferred.
• Customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
• Root cause analysis experience preferred.
• Familiarity with call-center phone systems preferred.
• Excellent phone skills with a focus on quality.
• Experience meeting daily call center metrics (AHT, adherence, ASA, QA).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls from customers, caregivers, and referral sources regarding medical supplies.
• Handle high call volumes and maintain composure.
• Process orders for new and existing customers and collect necessary information for insurance billing; collect payment as needed.
• Navigate multiple computer programs to address customer concerns.
• Consult with Supervisor or Team Lead on complex problems.
• Adhere to processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide order status updates and strive for first-time resolution.
• Explain insurance terminology and how it applies to orders.
• Explain products to ensure compatibility with customer conditions.
• Identify next steps based on system messaging and insurance requirements.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers.
