Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to act as the external scientific expert in Medical Affairs. The role focuses on building relationships with KOLs, educating healthcare providers on endocrinology products, and supporting the portfolio with scientific insights.

The position is remote and reports to the Director, Field Medical Team. The candidate should have an MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent, 5+ years as an MSL, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience as an MSL.
• Pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Must live near a major airport hub within geography and be able to travel ~50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field-based external facing medical representation of Medical Affairs.
• Create awareness of Ascendis Pharma in the endocrinology community and communicate TransCon potential.
• Maintain high medical expertise to support portfolio and disease states.
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Identify and engage KOLs and organizations for disease states within geography.
• Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan for the geography.
• Capture external insights and communicate to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Market Access, Marketing, Sales) to provide medical support.
• Support MOSLs and regional deliverables in scientific activities.
• Participate in Field Medical Team strategic goals and medical congress activities.
