Qualifications
Must hold one of the following active/current certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, HCS-D.
CPC or HCS-D certification requires two years of coding experience.
CCS certification requires one year of coding experience.
Responsibilities
Code medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions.
Coordinate/review the work of subordinate employees.
Review medical record documentation for quality and accuracy.
Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment and proper reimbursement.
