TriHealth is seeking a Health Information Coder who will review and interpret clinical documentation to assign accurate codes, DRG/POA indicators, and ensure compliant reimbursements. The role requires proficiency in ICD/CPT coding and knowledge of DRGs and MSDRGs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD and CPT coding.
• DRG's and MSDRG's knowledge.
• POA indicators understanding.
• Anatomy and medical terminology.
• Clinical documentation requirements.
• AHIMA credentials familiarity.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC eligibility or substitution consideration.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret clinical documentation to assign accurate codes and POA indicators.
• Meet monthly productivity targets and follow department guidelines.
• Abstract demographic and clinical data into hospital health data systems.
• Ensure accurate DRG, MSDRG, and discharge disposition coding.
