Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Medical Procedure Scheduler for a work-from-home role within 60 miles of a Hospital. The position requires scheduling patient testing, obtaining pre-certifications, and entering accurate insurance information while handling incoming calls.

You will collaborate with physician office staff to ensure proper pre-certification and scheduling, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of scheduling reports for next-day readiness and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience required in medical scheduling.
• Must have wired high-speed internet (25 Mbps down / 15 Mbps up).
• Must live within a 60-mile radius of a HCA hospital.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
• Schedule patients for testing and procedures using the scheduling module (e.g., Meditech)
• Confirm insurance plans and inform patients/office staff of out-of-network coverage
• Enter accurate pre-certifications, physician orders, and patient information
• Coordinate with physician offices to ensure pre-cert/authorization numbers are obtained
• Maintain familiarity with scheduling reports to prepare for next-day operations
